Spend 2 full days making your own English Longbow. Learn all about the techniques with easy to understand hands-on teaching. We have dates available throughout the year. Timbers used are :- Backing - Hickory, Maple or Bamboo Core - Purpleheart or Ipe Belly - Lemonwood or Bamboo We have selected the above timbers to use on the course as these combinations give us the best chances of ending up with a bow at the end of the course. This course is to teach you how to make an English Longbow, you can take the bow away with you for FREE Just give us a call to discuss your requirements and have a chat. We can recommend overnight accommodation within walking distance of the workshop if required. Self Ash Bows
Self Ash Bow with Horn NocksThe "Woodsman" Longbow Self ash Bow, max draw 29" Made by Heritage Longbows. These longbows are full compass not victorian style target longbows with the arrow pass through the centre of the bow which gives the limbs a nice equal bend and cast. Each bow has 2 coats of danish oil and a wax finish on top. This bow has beautiful horn nocks with a stringer groove, leather wrapped handle, round horn arrow pass and fast flight string. These longbows are fantastic value for money and sell very quickly. These bows are made from a single piece of Ash and have a max draw length of 29". For right and left handed archers. 3 - 4 weeks lead time but mostly quicker! If you need it quicker just let us know and we will make it a priority!
